Changs Taekwondo Blue Belt Requirements

Hello everyone! We’ve been having some very hot weather lately, and hopefully it continues! Remember to drink enough water, slap on the sunscreen and find shade. Now that we’re all cool with the sun, let’s talk about our:

Blue Belts & their Discipline Requirements

Blue Belt Changs Taekwondo

Every Blue belt must:
Keep their uniform clean.
Whether the student can clean it themselves or they are responsible for asking their parents to do it every student must come to class with a clean uniform.
Trim their Finger Nails.
Whether we are doing self defence or the student is blocking in sparring we want to make sure no one gets hurt through scratches caused by long finger nails.
Trim their Toe Nails.
Taekwondo involves kicking, and so much of it! Therefore it is very important all students keep their toe nails at a safe length as to not hurt their friends.
Brush their Teeth.
This is both for the student’s oral health and for their friends who might be blown away by the aroma and/or appearance of unkempt teeth.

Each and every one of the belts’ discipline requirements is for the benefit of the character, physical or mental health of our Chang’s Taekwondo Martial Arts students. We will work with every student to make sure they are amazing both inside and outside of our dojang.

Also our school will be closed from July 19th after the Belt Ceremony, until August 5th when we reopen (August 4th is a holiday). We hope you have a refreshing break & see you soon!!
