Winter Days are Getting Shorter

Changs Taekwondo

Hello everyone! As we start to get closer to winter our days are getting shorter, darker and much more wet. Chang’s Taekwondo Instructors from South Surrey/White Rock, Cloverdale/Langley, Tsawwassen, Aldergrove, and Mission all want to remind our students to stay warm, dry, and safe.

This weekend we are heading into the time change and along with the recent unpleasant weather we have to be extra careful.

One of the most dangerous times for our students doesn’t happen on the mats but coming and going from class.

Here are some ways we can stay safe:

1.      When leaving any vehicle in the parking lot always check that it is safe to get out.

2.      Never run through the parking lot! Always watch out for moving vehicles, and hazards like puddles, snow and ice.

3.      Wear appropriate Jackets and Shoes for the weather.

4.      For our younger students, never leave the school without a trusted adult. If none have come to pick you up, talk to an Instructor.

5.      Look out for each other! We are one family at Chang’s Taekwondo and therefore we need to help each other out. If you see someone in trouble or danger tell one of our Instructors!

Stay safe and train hard!
